What You'll Need
For the Filling
- 1 package Culcherd Original Cheese
- 2 tbsp favourite fruit preserves/jam
For the French Toast
- 1 loaf sourdough bread, sliced 1 ½-2 inches thick
- 1 cup non-dairy milk
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 sticks Culcherd Original Butter
How To
For the Filling
- In a medium sized bowl, mix together Original cheese and fruit preserves.
For the French Toast
- For each slice of bread, cut a 3 inch pocket through the top crust.
- Fill each pocket with 1 tbsp of filling.
- In a shallow dish, combine non-dairy milk, chia seeds, maple and cinnamon.
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Dip the stuffed toast in milk mixture, coating both sides.
- Cook for about 4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Repeat with remaining slices of bread.
For Assembly
- Slice each piece in half and garnish with additional preserves, more butter and maple syrup.
